Decks

The choices in decking materials are vast.  Every year the features and benefits of existing products change and many new products are added to the mix.  At HBS we can show you the differences between the first generation of composite deck boards, the newest "encapsulated" composites with improved resistance to scratches, stains and fading, and the ultimate in low maintenance - solid PVC decking.

Please visit us in Hamilton, NJ or Newtown, PA to see our new interior and exterior deck displays and pick up some literature.  We'll ensure that you are aware of the choices in railing, lighting systems, fasteners and installation tools.  We can help you evaluate fastening options provided by the decking manufacturers and take advantage of their promotions.  We can also introduce you to new technology and products like the CAMO hidden deck fastening system that works on treated lumber, hardwood, cedar, composite or PVC deck boards.

Several of our manufacturers have programs for committed pro contractors that offer a variety of benefits and resources.  Your HBS team will assist you in signing up for these programs.

Decking trends for 2013 include curved railings, lighting, and multi-chromatic colors.  As composite PVC becomes more popular deck professionals have found that bending is easier.  Lighting becomes more popular every year and manufacturers have new ways to make installation easier.  The multi-chromatic colors are richer, emulating exotic woods.
